A Police Station, a Box of Tim Bits, and You...

I didn’t say anything… and I wish I had.

Hi Reader,

Last week, I was rear-ended at a stoplight.

The driver took off—but his license plate stayed behind, wrapped around my bumper.

Thankfully, my daughter who was sitting in the front wasn’t hurt. It was only a minor accident but surprisingly my body was left sore, shaken, and emotionally completely off.

The next day, while reporting the accident, I noticed a woman across the police station waiting room.

She looked… stressed. Overwhelmed. Done.

She was eating an entire box of Timbits, and I overheard her say,
"I can’t believe how much these are taking away my stress."

In no way was I judging her, but my heart sank.

Because I saw her. I knew exactly what was happening.
That was emotional eating in real-time—using food to manage the weight of the day.

And the hardest part? I wanted to say something. To smile. To offer a word of encouragement, pay her a compliment. To tell her, “There’s another way, I promise.”

But I didn’t.

I was too drained. My own body hurt. My mind was spinning.
And I left that building feeling guilty—like I missed a moment to help.

It hit me later that night:
This is why I do what I do.

Because that woman could have been me.
Or one of my clients.
Or maybe… you.

Let me paint a picture: You’ve had a stressful day. Your brain is buzzing. You’re behind on emails. Your kid is melting down. And suddenly you’re in the pantry, halfway through a bag of crackers like...
"Wait, when did I even grab these?"

If that sounds familiar, you are not alone.
You’re not broken.
You’re biologically wired that way.

A 2024 study confirmed what I’ve seen for years:

  • Stress changes how you eat.
  • Chronic stress hijacks your eating patterns and tells your body to store fat—especially in the belly.
  • Even women who eat less don’t lose weight if their cortisol stays high.

Here’s what’s really going on:

  • Stress (especially chronic stress) pushes you into emotional eating: cravings, grazing, soothing with food even when you’re not hungry.
  • It makes your brain more reactive to food in sight. If the cookies are there, you reach for them—before you even register it.
  • It also changes your fat storage—especially increasing belly fat when your body is in a constant alert state.

And here’s the kicker:

Studies show women who were restricting food only lost weight if their cortisol (stress hormone) was low.

So if you’re stressed, eating less doesn’t work.
It just leaves you depleted, frustrated, and stuck.

This is exactly why I built the Core Alignment Membership and the new easy to follow 28 Day Core Alignment Program included with the membership (releasing next week).

I don’t believe in extreme diets. I don’t tell women to push harder or eat less.

Instead, I teach them how to calm the stress response, support hormone balance, reduce cravings, and bring their bodies back into alignment.

When that happens—when the nervous system regulates, when blood sugar steadies—the weight starts to release.
And more importantly, so does the guilt. The shame. The pressure to do it all perfectly.

So if you’ve been trying to eat clean, walk more, maybe even skip snacks…
And you’re still holding onto weight—especially in your belly—this might be the missing piece.

You don’t need to do more. You need to do what actually works with your body.

My programs are designed to help women just like you:

✅ Calm the stress response
✅ Recognize triggers
✅ Manage cravings
✅ Regulate hormones
✅ Restore balance
✅ The need to feel overwhelmed

No restriction.
No pressure.
Just real tools that work with your body.

If you’ve lived those moments too, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to do this alone.

The Core Alignment Membership is for people who feel inflamed, or overwhelmed, and just want a simple, doable way to feel better again. Support your hormones, calm your nervous system, and shift into fat-burning mode—in just 10 minutes a day.

No pressure. No extremes. Just aligned steps, together.

If I could go back to that moment in the police station, I would’ve said something to that woman.

I would’ve told her she’s not alone. That there’s another way. That she doesn’t have to carry it all alone. This email is me saying it now—to her, to you, to every woman who’s trying to hold it all together.

If you have any questions I would be happy to walk you through a strategy call to help you find the best way to help you get on track and feel successful.
